Current Projects Portfolio

Below is a list of the some of the projects we are currently working on.

Esteem Hull, BSF This involves the construction of seven new schools in the Hull area. Drama by Design are working with the main contractor Morgan Sindall on the design and specification of all the performing arts spaces.
Liverpool John Moores University A brand new development in the Mount Pleasant area of Liverpool this new building will house the Screen School. Drama by Design have worked on the design and layout of the building as well as the technical specification of the two TV studios, two radio studios and edit suites.
Bitterne Park School

Bitterne Park School in Southampton is a thriving secondary school for 1,430 pupils aged 11-16, which is rated as outstanding by Ofsted. The new £6.3M sixth form centre will cater for up to 180 6th form pupils and incorporate a 120 seat theatre to reflect the school’s specialism in performing arts, drama/dance studios, film studio and recording studio.

ACS International School, Cobham

Situated on 128-acres, ACS Cobham enrols over 1,350 students aged between 2 and 18 - Early Childhood through High School - offering both the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, and an American curriculum, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

This project involves the creation of a new theatre space, drama studios, workshops, music rooms and recording studio.
Portsmouth Guildhall The Guildhall was built in 1890 and then re-built after being damaged by a bomb in the second world war. The house lighting system is old, inadequate and uneconominc so Drama by Design have been employed to design a complete new house lighting system.
South Craven Academy South Craven is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, situated in Cross Hills, which is in North Yorkshire between Skipton and Keighley. They are just about to build a brand new theatre building and Drama by Design worked on both the design and layout of the building and the technical specification.
