Aylesbury Grammar School

This project involved the construction of a brand new purpose built drama studio in the grounds of the school.

Drama by Design worked with the school and the architect to produce a design and specification for the technical systems. The design was developed in association with the school staff to ensure that it met their requirements. Drama by Design monitored the works through to completion and commissioning.

East Berkshire College

This project involved the complete redevelopment of an existing drama studio space to provide more up to date facilities.

Drama by Design worked in association with the architect and the college to produce a design to meet their requirements of both budget and technical equipment levels.

We then produced a detailed specification, located suitable contractors to tender and followed the project through from start to commissioning.

York College

York College is a £ 60 million development consisting of a new build 29,350 sq m facility at Sim Balk Lane in York. This is one of the largest single further education buildings ever constructed.

Drama by Design specified all the technical systems for the Performing Arts facility, Theatre Studies room and Lecture Theatre.

Huntington School

This project involved the construction of a prestigious new performing arts, education and extended community facility at Huntington Secondary School. The development provides high quality sustainable buildings with flexible and specialist spaces that enhance learning and cultural development for both the school and the wider community in this area of the city.

The building contains a drama studio, dance studio, music rooms and a recording studio as well as reception areas. Drama by Design worked as theatre consultants on this project from conception through to completion.
